What a wonderful show! Both sets are high-energy, Jerry sounds good throughout, the song selection is fun, and this AUD recording is just exactly perfect. If you are looking for something from 85 to get you moving, or convince your friends that the band was still cooking 20 years later, this is a great one to go with!
Also, the She Belongs to Me is everything the other reviews have made it out to be. Truly soul stirring.

The crowd and the band feed each other beautifully. Terrapin is the highlight for me, the level of intensity puts you RIGHT THERE IN THE PIT, up close with the boys!
This is a perfect example of why '85 is perhaps my favorite year. Energy and flow are superb here.
Look, by '84 I figured Garcia was a goner; but happily, after the bust, this is the year he began to address his addiction and came back with a passion (check out Blair Jackson's book "Garcia: An American Life".)
I was at the Sunday afternoon show for the Greek Theatre run in '85; that was a pretty darn good show, but I think this is better.

This sounds great... Comparing the anon sourced aud tapes I have of this show (on normal tape no less) the magic that is the Greek and Healy shine as much as the band unlike the really good sound of the soundboards. Any of the high quality recordings will do, but an aud of this show is really a must. That norma tape I spoke of when played throught McIntosh amp set up is as close to the sound of an outdoor dead show I have ever heard without being in front of Jerry... Also an inspired and well played show doesn't hurt either.

The Oade's for this Berekely run are very nice. Phil testing the bounds of his drivers for sure, stretching them to the point of "Brrrraaaaaack" on the bigger bombs. Nice second set not the biggest Lost>Saint fan but this one is well played.
The "She Belongs to Me" is one of Jerry's best. Beautiful Version.
Thanks, Oade Bros.
4.5 Audience recording.

The Bass on I Know You Rider, after Jerry sings"...on a north bound train" was friggin' awsome, the most intense, lowest note Phil may have ever produced! Digital recordings don't do it justice. The AUD cassette I made at the show sounds FAR better than any of the offerings here as far as sonic dynamics are concerned. The vocals on the SBDs are slightly better overall(but not when Jerry's really wailing). This verson is the best of any available here.

Subject: Double Jerry Encore!!
Outstanding set of shows once again at the Greek with this one topped off by two incredible Jerry tunes. A beautifully soulful "She Belongs To Me" with some of the most lyrical guitar phrasing I've ever heard from Jerry; followed by a rocking "US Blues" with Jerry belting out the lyrics like there's no tomorrow. Awesome show.
